We have spent our summers in the Cross Lakes area for 10 years now. It seems that every restaurant except this one, Norway Ridge, has disappointed us at one time or another. They really have their act together. The food is wonderful, cooked to perfection with plenty of variety and choices. The servings are substantial, you won't leave hungry. Being light eaters, we often split a meal, which they are happy to do. The wine menu has sufficient choices to suit most tastes. They also have a fully stocked liquor selection. The wait staff has always been well trained in prompt, courteous, friendly service. The ambience is comfortable and north woodsy. If you can get a table by the windows the view is either of dense woods or the lake depending on the time of year. Reservations are advisable. It may seem to be on the expensive side for the area, but compared to the Twin Cities it is a real bargain. We feel that Norway Ridge is well worth a dollar or two more for the dining experience. And if you're really lucky, they might even be serving their pickle soup!
