“Best French Toast Ever”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

The Great Northern has the best French Toast I have ever had - they use actual french bread. We go there for almost everyday whenever we are in town. This is a great hometown restaurant - great food, great coffee, great staff!

“Good Place for Breakfast”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We ate breakfast here twice. Good old fashioned downhome cooking with lots of butter. Coffee was good, casual laid back atmosphere. Service was great too.

“Wonderful inexpensive breakfast”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

We love this Park Rapids icon. At breakfast the parking lot is always full. The cafe is jumping with locals who are friendly and like to talk.. The food is the main reason to go, plentiful and hot with $1.25 coffee.

“Old fashioned comfort food”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Definitely a local hangout, we came here because the Good Life Cafe, which I highly recommend, doesn't open until 11 on Saturdays. We had eggs/hashbrowns/bacon and it was all fine. Typical hometown comfort food breakfast.

“Good food!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We were recommended to this place by a few locals who said its good homemade food- and they were right! They have a nice selection on their menu, the waitresses were very friendly. It seemed like a local hangout, which we like. Much like a cafe. The coffee was not great though. But the food was very good and we would go back for sure.
