We stayed here in February of 2011 (the 19th to be exact). The place was full of snowmobiliers enjoying the beautiful countryside in the area. We stayed in a fireplace/Jacuzzi room and really enjoyed it.

This hotel is very nice set up like a lodge. Our room had a balcony and had a view of the lake (which was frozen-time of year). Our room was very clean as was the whole hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a relaxing nice place to stay in Orr, this is the one.

Room Tip: The Dam restuarant has very good food

The Gateway Lodge and Suites Hotel is a newer hotel. It is on the shore of Pelican Lake about 1/2 hour south of the Ash River entrance to Voyaguers National Park. It has an indoor pool with slide that children really seemed to like. Rooms were adequate, but nothing special. Complimentary breakfast. On site restaurant open in the evening, which we did not try. By all means visit the Dam Supper Club just south of the restaurant -- great food, great atmosphere. And the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary, about 20 minutes away, is worth the visit.
