If your looking for a great place to listen to live music in a smaller venue. Neumies is the place to be!!! Small town atmosphere(free cover) - great wait staff and bartenders! Grab a burger and onion rings, you won't be disappointed. NO better place then the oldest bar in the Twin Cities(est 1887).

Fun old bar with great burgers! The atmosphere is great and they usually have bands or entertainment there on the weekends. Good place to have a small get together
Neumann's is a good place for a beer and a bite. Food is very standard fare but I've certainly had much worse. Majority of the patrons appear to be local residents who know each other. Either that or they know each other from spending lots of time at Neumann's! Weekends offer a variety of live bands that are mainly of the rock & roll and blues types. Small dance floor fills up when the music plays. There is an outside patio/beer garden situated between buildings that is well used as weather permits. On most summer Fridays you will also find many blocks of 7th Ave in front of Neumann's filled with classic cars, almost looking like the 50's and 60's when everyone "cruised Main Street" on Friday night. We have been to Neumanns a bunch of times. The burgers are great and because it is the oldest bar in MN it has alot of history to learn and see. the staff is friendly and the live music they have on the weekends is Great. we will keep going back that is for sure.
The experience was about as good as getting my teeth drilled.

When you come in they give the death stair, like who the blank are you coming into my bar.
The food is bad. and thats about it.
