“Perfect location for a business trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Pros:
1. Perfect location
2. Large rooms
3. Staff cleans the room on regular basis. No need to tell them.
4. Fully equipped kitchen
5. Good variety for breakfast and evening snacks
6. All major route buses and Light rail stations are not too far

Cons:
Can't really recollect any, but if I have to mention:
1. Same stuff available in breakfast everyday
2. Liquor shop is little far, on the parallel street ;)

Connected to the Skywalk so it's convenient for shopping the Nicolette Mall or going to the Target Center. We had a room with a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. The only negative of the room is that the shower is about the same as in my motorhome. As for the front staff, they were great. Housekeeping needs to learn to read english. We were still in bed with the "Do Not Disturb" sign and they wanted to clean the room.

Stayed here for a business trip. This hotel is a perfect location. Walking distance to Nicollet street mall, restaurants bars and shopping. We had business at the convention center and this hotel is close enough to walk or take a free bus. The rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of blankets which is necessArt when it's 10 degrees outside. The staff is always nice and the free breakfast is a bonus because it is fresh and the coffee is good. Well

This very wonderful place is only hampered by the parking. Parking is in the parking tower next door, the sign showing you the entrance is very small and parking validation from the hotel costs 18.00 while paying regular rates still cost us 10.00 for a 12 hours stay at the hotel. As ritzy and posh as this place was, they could arrange something better I think.

We upgraded to this hotel and enjoyed our stay.

1. Families - Yes- we have one 2 year old who loved the place and he had a little running room.
2. Breakfast - Great - good selection of the basics.
3. Location - Excellent, would have walked anywhere in better weather. Driving out of the hotel was great, easy access to all highways. Only felt a little unsafe at night in the local area on one occasion (a couple of blocks away seemed pretty dangerous).
4. Room - Beautiful - The kitchen had everything, it was like living at home.
5. Staff – All friendly, all helpful and even when we broke the parking rules the guy at the front was supportive.
6. Other - internet was great much faster than other places I stayed in Minneapolis on this trip.

Room Tip: Go the one bedroom if you have a child or children.

This is one of the best places to stay in downtown Minneapolis. Extra-spacious rooms, a block off the Nicollet Mall, in midst of shopping, night spots, office towers. Breakfast area nice, but two days straight we had no fresh fruit, Said they ran out. Front desk staff friendly. Some advice: don't pay hotel for daily parking ($19), pay the public daily rate ($13) - unless you plan to go in and out a lot. Park free on street after 10 p.m., but must leave by 8 a.m. There is a great YMCA with huge lap pool a 5-minute walk from hotel. Hotel may have free passes. Weekend room rates much lower than weekdays - usually.

Room Tip: Not many good views, mostly looking at other buildings.

We stayed at this hotel this over the weekend. We came from Chicago for a couples weekend and to see the Bears play. This hotel is close to everything, the rooms are great, and the staff is outstanding! Free breakfast is very good- not the usual "plastic eggs". Everything tasted fresh. The hotel is close to a lot of nice restaurants, and walking distance to the light rail and Nicollet Mall. We were stranded in Minneapolis an extra night because of a snowstorm. The staff let us check back in easily, gave us a beautiful room, and helped us make travel decisions. On site parking is very convenient, and very cheap! All around...a great place to stay when visiting downtown Minneapolis!
