“Incredible hotel in the heart of Minneapolis.”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

We booked a block of rooms for our son's wedding. This hotel had been completely renovated from top to bottom & had their re-grand opening the week prior to our visit. Absolutely beautiful! We spent time in the bar, restaurant, & fitness center. The staff from the point of valet parking, check-in, housekeeping, restaurant & bar were so friendly and accommodating. This hotel is centrally located within downtown Minneapolis & is within walking distance to Target Field, shopping, & many bars, restaurants & local nightlife. Our room was very dark as we had an inside facing room that overlooked an atrium. It was also very quiet. It appears they have shuttle service available to various places, otherwise there was never a shortage of car service or cabs. When the block of rooms expired (for the wedding), we had a couple of late bookings. The sales manager, Kevin was very accommodating & we were able to add a few rooms at our block rate even after it had expired. We also had a few people extend their stay by a day at the block rate as well. Please note that this hotel is located in heart of Minneapolis & you will experience traffic. Also there is a parking ramp directly under this hotel with elevators that open up into the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in downtown Minneapolis! You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: All rooms were recently renovated. I spent time in a King Room and two different suites. The suite...

I have always stayed at the Radisson, mostly for the great customer service. But they've updated everything and its better than ever now. Still excellent service, but the food is really high quality, the rooms are quiet and spacious, and the location can't be beat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I stayed one night after a evening of heavy partying at a friend's birthday party. In the weekend before the MLB allstar game, downtown Minneapolis was bustling with people. The Radisson is right in the thick of things and it's close to most of the action.

The lobby is modern. The check in takes place at one of three low counters. The feel is open, relaxed and unpretentious compared to many hotels with breast high, stone counter tops that physically separate guests from staff in a way that makes them feel like the staff is being protected from a dangerous public. The rest of the lobby is bright. The entrance has a revolving door big enough to get your luggage through. A huge bank of television monitors faces the street and you have to walk past the screens to get in or out. On this baseball weekend, they were showing Pride of the Yankees with Gary Cooper.

The room, a Jr. Suite, on the Concierge floor, was spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable and clean. The hotel prides itself on being ecofriendly. The modern toilet has two flush settings to minimize water use.

The only negative was that I was unable to find instructions on how to use the fancy coffee maker. I tried to figure it out on my own but I was only able to produce an undrinkable cup of brown stuff.

Checkout was equally pleasant and efficient. Dropped the room key cards on the desk and a nice woman said thank you and have a nice day.

Green Features: Blu prides itself on eco stuff. All water use is designed to limit wasteful excess.

Wow, free wifi that is really free and works very well. This hotel impressed me a lot. Even as I walk to my room the hallway isn't just a long hallway it has style with pillars. The room has a modern warm comfortable feeling. With modern amenities like electrical plug-in on the wall right next to the bed. It even includes a USB charging port next the electrical outlet right in the wall. Amazing! It has a fancy nespresso type coffee maker. And who doesn't love a robe, clean and soft provided in the room. The flatscreen LG TV is one of the largest I have seen in a Hotel room. This is a very nice hotel. Great job Radisson.

This was our first trip to Minneapolis and our first stay in a Radisson Blu. This is a a First Class hotel with excellent amenities. Its location makes touring the city on foot very easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was my first stay at a Radisson property (that I can remember), and I must admit it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel location was excellent--in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and close to lots of restaurants and stores (and close to freeway access if you're driving in and out). There was no valet parking that I could see and the self parking was a bit tricky, but not a prob. My room was large, comfortable and very well appointed, however I kept stubbing my toe on the legs of the very big and clunky stationary desk/table in the room (ouch!). I also had a room facing an inner atrium type of area and so there was no view whatsoever and virtually no outside light (which would have been nice), so it was somewhat hard to tell if it was day or night. But the staff was quite nice and room service food was exceptionally good and was brought up quickly. I would gladly stay there again and recommend it highly for the business traveller.

We used three rooms for a family baseball trip. The hotel has upgraded LOTS just in the past year. Great beds. iphone 5 player bases. superb bathrooms. and just a short, short walk to Target Field, the Nicollet Mall, and lots of eateries. A new old gem!
