We recently had the opportunity to visit Minneapolis to attend an event with friends. Wasn't too excited to visit a city colder than Chicago but ended up having a great time. The hotel put us in the Christmas spirit with all the beautiful decorations. The staff behind the desk and in the lobby were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed just as comfortable as ours at home. The location was ideal allowing some of us to shop and easily walk to the Metrodome. The breakfast buffet. was very good with a large selection as well as a made to order waffle and omelette bar. We definitely plan to be back

Dear Kscott1610,

Thank you very much for the kind words regarding our hotel and staff during your recent stay. We are glad that we were able to put you in the holiday spirit.

I love being able to pass these positive comments on to our staff, it really does keep our team motivated.

Our breakfast buffet does have a number of delicious options, especially the omelet station.

Happy holidays and we look forward to seeing you again,

Best regards,

The weather in Minnesota in December is freezing, but the folks at the marriott made me feel warm and welcomed. I never knew that all of the stores and hotels are connected through bridges. It makes visiting so much more pleasant. Great signage through the store area back to the hotel.

The rooms were great. Fitness center clean and modern.

Dear Linda2K,
Thank you for such a "glowingly warm review" :-). On behalf of all our Hosts here atthe Marriott Minneapolis City Center, I want to thank you for encouraging us to continue in our quest to provide warm, caring and professional service to all of our guests. Yes, the internal skywalk system is of huge benefit to our guests coming in from warmer climates as it enables them to travel throughout a lot of downtown without ever going outside. And we are very fortunate to be located in the heart of it. Of course for those who do want to go outside and "get a breath of fresh air" we do have warm winter coats at our Concierge desk for our guests to borrow.
Thank you again for your kind comments and thank you so much for staying with us. I hope we get a chance to welcome you back in the near future, wishing you a Happy Holiday Season,
Best wishes
Anthony.

Ended up attending a Sunday night Minnesota Vikings game with family and friends and stayed overnight at the Marriott Minneapolis City Center. A very nice, modern hotel that was clean and well-staffed. There is a bar/lobby available at the registration area and excellent breakfast buffet in the morning. Would stay again and recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in downtown Minneapolis.

Recently stayed at the Marriott Minneapolis City Center during a long weekend trip to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in a new city for us. Every aspect of this hotel was perfect for us from check in to check out. We were greeted with smiles and everyone from the front desk to the concierge lounge was very cordial. Our room was extremely quiet, clean, and comfortable. This Marriott's location is great; connected to the skyway (with -2 degree temps, that was a definite plus!), across the street from Macys, and only 2 blocks from the blue light rail that took us to Mall of America and to the Airport. Overall, great stay and highly recommend!!

Great hotel with modern decor. It was very clean, though it was just renovated, so I would assume it would be. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Overall, reception was a breeze and everyone was very friendly. I also had breakfast in the lobby, they were Starbucks coffee and breakfast, prices were a bit more expensive, but you're in a larger city, to be expected.

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott City Center this past Thanksgiving like we do every year when visiting our family.
The front desk girl was new but she made us feel like family. The manager not from Minnesota because he had a southern accent was friendly and helpful when we needed a fan for our room. This hotel is a great place to stay.

Look forward to seeing you next time.

Dear dell43,

We sincerely appreciate your kind comments regarding our front desk staff including our Sr. Room Operations manager, who is from Louisiana. He brings that touch of southern hospitality to our hotel.

It is a compliment that you feel like family and we will continue to make this your “home away from home”.

We look forward to seeing you next Thanksgiving.

Warm regards,

Kurt Boerner

I stayed one week here and I am a Marriott awards customer, but it is a very complete business class hotel with modern and clean amenities. If you can afford the rates, it is an excellent stay. It is serviced by the skyway so it is walking distance to all businesses and restaurants downtown.
