“Watch where your room is located!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

First of all, this is a very nice hotel in a great location in downtown Minneapolis, and the price is quite reasonable. No, you don't get extras like wifi or free parking, but I wouldn't expect that in a higher-end downtown hotel. We stayed there for a Twins game and you could hardly find a better location (a quick 3 blocks to Target Field). The staff seemed very pleasant and helpful, and the rooms were updated, well maintained and clean. HOWEVER, our room was located very near the elevator and our sleep was disrupted from about 1:30 to 4:00 a.m. with people coming home from the bars. It was quite loud and very disruptive. This must be fairly commonplace as signs are placed near the elevators asking people to be quiet. This was a Saturday night and I would guess probably the worst night of the week for this problem. My parents' room was located down the hall and they were not disrupted by the noise so if I were to stay here again, I would request a room far from the elevators. The only other complaint I had is there seemed to be a dip in the middle of my bed. The other people in my party didn't have issues with that so I would assume I was just unlucky. Overall, I still rated this hotel high due to the location and value.

Thank you very much for taking time to give us your feedback regarding our hotel. We apologize that your sleep was disturbed by others during your stay. I know it is frustrating when you cannot get a good night sleep because of other guests returning late at night after enjoying their evening. We do have security on property to assist with trying to keep noise to a minimum.

Thank you again for your feedback and I hope that we have another chance to serve you again.

A great location for walking to restaurants, theaters, and stadiums. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are spacious. A connected parking ramp makes getting in and out easy. This is our go-to hotel when staying downtown Minneapolis.

I stayed at this Marriott while I attended a conference. I had a good view from my room, and I found the hotel to be clean and inviting. This hotel is in a good location for attending Twins or Viking games. The hotel is also located on the sky-walk, through which most of downtown Minneapolis can be accessed.

Up to date and nicely located if you have business in downtown Minneapolis. The bi-level rooms up on the 31st floor are quite interesting with exceptional views of the city and suburbs. The concierge lounge is a very good one. Excellent breakfast. Good access to the skywalk (direct from floor 2 of the building) and the light rail (about 3-4 blocks).

Room Tip: If you can get up on 31, it is a very unique room with two levels and hug windows.

Modern and comfortable downtown hotel, convenient to many good restaurants. Excellent service across property, including front door, maids, front desk, restaurant, bar. Good food and good wine selection. Will stay here on my next visit to the twin cities.

Room Tip: As high as possible to escape street noise.

We stayed four nights beginning August 10 (first two days for leisure, last two days on business). Our room was the Executive Suite which was a corner room on the 25th floor with a city view.

The hotel itself is very good. It's clean and modern and the staff is helpful and efficient. They have a nice bar with a daily happy hour, and the food selections are somewhat better than typical hotel bar food. The coffee and food served at our business functions was good.

Our room was spacious with a king bed and a large sitting area. The TV was large and high-def, and there was an excellent selection of channels. Since it was a corner room we had great city views from two different perspectives.

I do wish the fitness center had included a pool. Also the daily parking charge seemed a little high at $19, and there's a charge for in-room wireless internet. That's a negative as most places offer it free these days.

The location is a mixed bag. On the plus side, it's right downtown and the area is very walkable. There are tons of restaurants and plenty of shopping, and there's a park and a sculpture garden just a short distance away. The weather was fantastic and we had a joyous time just walking around and doing some exploring (this was our first visit to downtown Minneapolis).

There is one big downside: the hotel is a few blocks away from a hospital, and you can hear the ambulance sirens ALL NIGHT LONG. Our sleep quality was very, very poor, so unless you're a heavy sleeper it's a huge drawback. Obviously this is not the fault of the hotel or the staff, but it's still something to consider if you're deciding whether or not to stay there.

We stayed in a standard single king bed room. Our view was of the Radisson immediately across the street so nothing exciting here. The room size was somewhat small but adequate and the style of the room was up to date. The bed was great, better than my own at home. There was a single serving coffee maker, 32" TV which was connected to some sort of integrated television service that was so extremely slow to navigate that I gave up and turned it off. No fridge or microwave. The bathroom had an older style tub, good temperature and pressure on the water. Besides the tub the rest of the bath was up to date.

The main lobby was stylish and busy with people. The staff were all friendly and attentive to the guests. Adjacent to the lobby was a bar with plenty of people even after midnight , and the free wifi in the lobby was being used by many. There is relatively high volume ambiance music in the lobby at all times so I can't imagine myself being able to concentrate on work in the environment if I had to. The Parking was easy in the adjacent public ramp and for $19 paid at the front desk they'll give you a magnetic card you use to exit the ramp and it gives you in and out privilege for 24 hours.
