We went here for lunch on 2/25 and it was great!!! Very open and busy but not loud considering the downtown lunch crowd. We were there for the Restaurant Week specials but the waiter informed us that these specials were on every day 365! Cool! They have a lunch menu where you are allowed to pick 3 items for $10. Great choices to mix and match...Tortilla soup was a must.
We ordered a ceviche that was awesome also...calamari and scallops...Great free chips and salsa also. We WILL be back

Dinner at Masa was nice. We ordered apps and entrees, and a few drinks. The food was upscale mexican, and had good flavors. It is a bit spendy, but the food was good. Tough to say worth the money for me, seeing as how i can be totally happy with some 6 dollar tacos from a local family mexican spot, but if you are looking for a nice mexican dinner out, this is a good spot.

Spending a night in the Twin Cities with cloeages, and it was 6 degrees. This restaurant was 3 blocks from our hotel, so a no brainier. The restaurant turned out to be a bright clean warm modern location. The service was very attentive and the food was very good, although not standard Mexican or Tex-Mex food. The tortilla soup was very dark and flavorful and the waiter recommended a pork chop that was delicious! Good selection of drinks and beer. Would definitely go again, but it's really high end and not a taco, burrito kind of place.

Creative food and cocktail menus, modern atmosphere, nice open kitchen, friendly staff and reasonable prices. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the guacamole, Chicken mole and 3 taco platter (fish, steak and chicken). Rice and beans were also perfectly prepared, not just a side-dish after thought.

This place makes a very good first impression that holds up throughout the evening. As we entered we were greeted warmly by the staff, and everything just looks right, with white table cloths (with paper), nice stemware, big windows everywhere, and color accents that don't overdo it.
Our group of four tried two salads, the hearts of palm (pleasant) and the sliced octopus (the octopus was a little bit too chewy). Our main dishes were the pork shank (falling apart tender and delicious) and the crab enchiladas (some chewiness to the tortilla wrapper, perhaps held to long in the kitchen).
The wine list is mostly Spanish, but good, and in the mid-range of prices for downtown Minneapolis.
For dessert we shared the tres leches cake which was fine, but not exciting. Espresso was served in a regular cup, but nice and hot.
Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Water was topped up frequently and cutlery replaced between courses.
The only downsides were the octopus and the tortilla around the crab meat. These are small complaints, but they kept the meal from being perfect.
The high ceilings help to keep the noise at a conversational level, which is becoming rare, especially downtown. Parking is available at orchestra hall or the Hilton ramp.
The date of our visit was January 26, 2013.
