Tucked away in one of the city's many parks, the Lake Harriet Bandshell hosts free nightly concerts by area musicians. Always well attended concerts cover the spectrum of the vibrant Twin Cities musical community -- classical, big band, blue grass, folk, rock, jazz. I recently attended a concert and enjoyed the wonderful music plus the audience's ballroom dancing. Parking can be tough to find and the nearby lot fills fast so be prepared to hunt on neighborhood streets. The nearby concessions stand Bread and Pickle is an tremendous upgrade from the usual hot dogs.
