Lake Harriet offers so much- biking, walking, running, sailing, kayak/canoe rental, sunset watching, swimming, and summertime music and movies. You can typically find a parking spot on the road along the lake.

quiet areas, crowds, dogs, eats, music, there is everything. Fairy houses are there, art car parades formal garden natural areas . The trolley is fun and unique, do it! Rent boats walk or bike but always wade in, throw stones, Enjoy!!

This park has so much to offer, and is accessible via the #6 bus from various locations in Minneapolis as well as by car, bike, or on foot.

The lake allows non motorized boats only, so it is good for watching the sailboats of the yacht club near the band shell. Canoe, kayak, bike, boat, and paddle board rentals are offered.

The trail around the lake is 3.0 miles of gorgeous scenery not only of the lake but also of the neighborhood around the park.

The band shell has free concerts Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday: 7:30 pm
Sundays: 2 pm and 5:30 pm in a variety of genres. There are quite a few folding chairs already set up, and a grassy area directly behind that for more listeners.

The Bread & Pickle, a restaurant, is open seasonally 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It offers picnic foods, beer & wine, and free wifi.

What a treasure to have such a great lake and parkway within the city. There are numerous activities and events happening and many places to get out and walk and enjoy.

Beautiful 3.0 mike walk around Lake Harriett is a must! Stop at the band shell and have lunch, a beer or truffle popcorn (my favorite). The lake is nonmotorized boats only- so you can watch sailboats or paddle boarders (you can rent on site). The band shell also has concerts in the evenings.
