“Always wonderful”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

This place has had consistently very high ratings for years. The food and service are always wonderful. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is very creative. If you are a foodie you will not be disappointed. This is a must stop if visiting Mpls.

“New Favorite in Minneapolis”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

You will be frustrated if you try and eat here without making a reservation. The restaurant is not very big and it is packed at dinner time. My wife got the duck and I got the steak. Both were awesome. We tried a handful of starters and sides that almost had us licking the plates. My wife is a "foody" and she was very impressed that I picked this restaurant, (thank you tripadvisor). If you are bored with the classic takes on you favorite dishes I would recommend the 112 eatery. They serve good local beers, I recommend "Sweet Child of Vine" by Fulton. The prices were also very reasonable.

“Yummmmm!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

We walked to the restaurant during our Minneapolis staycation and had to wait for two seats at the bar. The host brought us a glass of wine and we didn't wait long. The wine was fabulous - a French blend that didn't break the bank. We ordered the crab salad, some gnocchi and something with mushrooms and every bite was delicious and incredibly flavorful. We were cozy. It's not too loud. Other nice diners. Upscale. A definite must in the Twin Cities.

“Simply the best”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

112 Eatery is the best Minneapolis has to offer. This isn't a dig on the Bachelor Farmer, Restaurant Alma, or anywhere else in MPLS but rather high praise for 112. Don't miss the fois gras salad and the best Fois I've ever had. The steak tartare is prepared fantastically and even the burger is out of this world. Combine that with the ambiance and you will not be disappointed after a visit to 112 Eatery.

“Not as good as we thought it would be”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Based on the reviews, we were looking forward to an exceptional experience and just didn't find 112 as good as we thought it might be.

We enjoyed the decor and the music and crowd volume wasn't as loud as noted in some of the reviews. The service was very good and attentive - we couldn't have been happier with that.

First off, we're not foodies. We just like to go to new restaurants and always try new things. Our favorite dish was sea scallops w/ oyster mushrooms. It was absolutely fabulous and cooked to perfection - as good as it gets.

Next we had steak tartare - a first for us. A lot of people has said it is one of the best things on the menu - it was something we've never had before and just didn't care for it. So no knock on the steak tartare itself.

We then had the tagliatelle w/ fois gras meetball. We found it a bit salty tasting, perhaps due to all of the cheese.

Our final plate was the short rib chili (actually not chili but ribs with chili flavoring). The meat fell off the bone - nicely cooked. The flavor wasn't bad - just nothing special.

Different strokes for different folks, the food in general just didn't have something "special" about it in our opinion.
