“An old favorite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2012

Huge portions, great food, cups/glasses that never go empty..this is the place to go for breakfast or lunch (and I hear they also serv e dinner now). You can eat your face off for about $5-10 per person and I have never had a bad meal here (or one I could manage to FINISH).

It is in a more hidden location (on 9th Street just past Marquette-across from the AT&T Tower) than last location (which was lost due to the Target HQ building in 2005-6).

Service can be slow to hit-or-miss, depending on who you get and how long they have worked there. Not a drinker, but people do seem to like the bar, which they didn't have at the old spot.

Food is the real deal here and Minnesotans love to eat. This is stick-to-your-ribs food for a hearty bunch. If you have a smaller appetite, think about sharing or small plates/apps. Food is really terrific home-cooking.

I had a simple breakfast and the homemade bread and thick-cut bacon made it an occasion: a testament to deliciousness!

Keys sets the bar - excellent breakfast, the italian hash is excellent, the french toast is mouth watering, good service at tables and bar - the bartender was very attentive and it was fun to people watch here.

“Good American food”

They have a big menu and breakfast is served all day. The omelettes are huge! They also have a vegetarian section of their menu.

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2011

Our family tried Keys Cafe after reading reviews online. We were impressed and will definitely be back. We arrived early so we didn't have to wait for a table, but by the time we left there was a line at the door. They served mostly the usual breakfast foods.....pancakes, eggs, homemade sweet rolls, omelettes, eggs benedict. Decent prices. I liked the option of having turkey sausage instead of pork.
