Thin crust pizza cut into squares is what you'll get here. It's always dripping with cheese and delicious. The wait staff is busy and won't hand-hold you, but they do check back and keep things moving. I've only ever had pizza here as it's too good to try anything else. It's a local dive with a lot of character, but at Dulono's it's all about the food. Give it a try!

We've been to Dulono's many times in the past but went back recently for the first time in a couple of years. Still absolutely great pizza and Italian food. Chef salad has more ham than lettuce on it. (A good thing.) The Middle Spunk Creek Boys bluegrass band was playing that night. THey're one of the best groups that plays regularly at Dulono's if you can catch them there. Extra bonus - Dulono's has Grain Belt beer on tap. This is a great place to go with friends on a weekend night.

We had dinner at Dulono's after attending a Minnesota Twins baseball game on a Sunday evening in July. We were looking for a local Italian restaurant somewhere between downtown (which was busy with all of the fans exiting the ballpark) and our hotel near the Mall of America. We found Dulono's in uptown Minneapolis and had an enjoyable experience.

The pizza, pasta, bread and salads we ordered were tasty. The pizza sauce is both a little spicy and sweet - very good. The thin crust was flaky and crisp, perfect. The menu had many other choices that also looked good (chicken, burgers, sandwiches).

Atmosphere-wise, the place is old and very eclectic in decor. Don't expect to see anything new (televisions, which work, are old), but the atmosphere felt friendly, like an old neighborhood pizza joint or bar/grill. We felt completely comfortable walking around in the neighborhood and enjoyed the summer evening. We recommend Dulano's if you're in the Uptown area and want to take a trip down memory lane for a local Italian restaurant.

Every person I introduce to Dulono's ends up loving it. Their pizza is great. Delivery takes up to an hour, but it's worth the wait. Eating in gets you the trashy dive atmosphere and the coldest bottled beer and frosty mugs you've ever experienced. Friday and Saturday nights are packed for live Bluegrass music (free), and Thursday nights in the summer are for bikers. You'll almost always find cops eating here all night, it's where they take their breaks. The pizza isn't the cheapest, but I think it's the best. And their fried chicken wings aren't bad either. You can't go wrong with Dulono's.
