This is a fun place with excellent food and a charming ambience but... The table reservation system needs a major overhaul, they say you're booked on their answer service but when you arrive on time it appears your in a queue. Though a glass of wine at your expense, makes a 30 min wait more agreeable, it is not as it should be even though everyone is charming. A second point which applies to all bijou such places, and one which the better have already appreciated - is that if you're trying to talk to your guest/loved one you should be able to be heard. This busy charming, excellent food restaurant needs sound absorbing tiles on the roof; as do so many other, especially when you're paying a handsome price for your meal and wine.
Notwithstanding these pertinent comments, I shall return on my next visit to Minneapolis as I really enjoyed this visit as I have on others.

We came for our wedding anniversary dinner, excited by the high ratings. Maybe we hit an off night, but just did not find it up to all the hype. Nice, casual atmosphere, good service, easy city parking. The food was really good in some areas, not as good in others, thus the overall 3 star rating. We started with the Beet salad and a Caprese salad. The beets were quite good and came with a generous amount of blue cheese, but that was it. It could have used a third ingredient as partway through, I got tired of just eating beets. The Caprese salad was tomato and mozzarella with pesto. In addition to the oil in the pesto, there was a fair amount of olive oil added, which made it too oily. For our entrees, we had the Seafood stew, which contained possibly the best mussels we have ever had, and the Chicken breast, which was fine though very basic.

Mussels and frites were excellent. A limited menu but classic bistro choices that were very tasty. Friendly owner. Definitely will return.
