Eating lunch here was a nostalgia trip for my wife and me, since we had eaten here as college students some indeterminate number of decades ago. It was pleasantly funky then and is now. You have to be looking for it, since it’s on the second floor of a building. You reach it from the street through a small door and up a flight of stairs. The interior has a fresh, open, casual feel. It’s not quite picnic tables and lawn chairs but almost; the chairs are rattan. We had good veggie burgers, very good skin-on fries, and a good chocolate-coffee shake (though more coffee in the mix would improve it). This is an old Dinkytown classic, and it was nice to learn that it’s still going strong. It’s a pleasant choice for a casual lunch.

Go just before noon to avoid the rush(Saturday). The fries are delicious and portions large. The burgers are perfect. Beats shake shack for authenticity and flare. The hot fudge sundae was worth the calories.

Burgers are huge, fries are exceptional and the shakes are the best I've had in years. Summer evenings are fun on the deck with a view of the city lights.

Fun atmosphere near U of MN campus. Malts are huge and made to share. The burgers are wonderful on the homemade buns. Fun outdoor patio, unfortunately visited in February.

Great food! The malted shakes are so good, but HUGE. I don't know how people eat one all by themselves. The frys were a little burned, but the burgers were out of this world. The ceaser salad was good as well. The server was a little distracted... would come here again.
