All of the food is authentic German. The schnitzel was wonderful and the desserts are to die for. Ate their on a Friday night. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the strolling accordion player. I wouldn't come here if I was counting calories but wonderful food.

Gasthof is a fun place. The portions are large. There were 4 of us. We got a platter for 2, a platter for 1 and a meterwurst. In hindsight I wonder if we should have bite the bullet paid the $8 sharing fee. For proteins we had bratwurst, beef rouladen, pork and chicken schnitzel, smoked pork chops. Plus lots of sides. The food was all excellent. Our friends raved about it. There is also live entertainment: an accordion player. This guy had a very versatile playlist. He walked around stopping and asking for requests. The beer was enjoyed by the men of the group. Next time we need to not eat for 2 days before coming. We had enough leftovers for 2 people.

Very reminiscent of a true German restaurant. Food is authentic and good, excellent German draft beer selection and also live entertainment!

I've eaten in many charming, century-old restaurants throughout Germany and Austria but this place looks old and neglected. One of the best (1/2 liter) Bloody Marys, even though the garnish looked like a grade-school craft project. Plain dinner salad with fresh, crisp lettuce, a slice of cucumber, a piece of tomato and stale croutons. No choice of dressing as all were served with a strange tomato-vinagarette. My Sauerbraten was a tasteless, over-cooked slab of beef. A couple of bites were all I could handle. The Romanian accordion player was an interesting addition when he was across the room, but insisted on giving several performances an arms length from our table so conversation with our friends was impossible. Too loud, too close and too intrusive. We were there on a Thursday evening and there were only two other tables being used so apparently it's not the popular choice it used to be. The highlight of the of the evening was our server, Laura, who was outstanding - knowledgeable, efficient and friendly even when she had to work around the accordion player. After dinner coffee was excellent but we'll never go back!

Visited with some coworkers and this is a fun place to eat and drink some German beer and food if that's your thing. The service and food were very good. The accordion player was a delight. I recommend this restaurant if you're visiting the area.
