“A great Minneapolis French restaurant”
Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

This place is as good as ever. The atmosphere is urban and elegant even though it is understated. The tables are not crowded together. The ambiance is perfect for fine dining. The service provided by a well trained staff is refined. Some of the wait staff is French. My escargots were excellent. The bread is like it is in France. The cassoulet special is one of the best I have ever had. This dish can be fillIng but at Vincent, the tasted much lighter. The beans came from France. The dish had a lighter juice rather than a sticky mess. The individual components are delicious with duck, two kind of sausages and ham hock. You will get friendly service but yet refined. It is a very fine place for good friend food.

“Excellent bang for the buck... did I mention French haute cuisine?”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

Any way you look at "Vincent, A Restaurant," you can only applaud. And always enjoy. The eponymous Chef has been one of the precursors of the "nouvelle cuisine" in Minneapolis. I am not talking about the "French reduced-portion" fad, but rather the sit down to "eat-succulent-meals-with-local/fresh-ingredients-for-the-price-of-a-food-truck-sandwich" revolution. So, you need to eat the best burger in town? Try Vincent. A 3-course lunch for $12, Vincent again. A nice business lunch or dinner and/or a very romantic dinner with your partner? Vincent always. My last meal there was a lunch, which started with his excellent homemade duck pâté. Followed by a hearty portion of his Cassoulet: Perfectly cooked crunchy white beans (imported from France, the waiter told me) and falling off the bone duck pieces. I don't how Vincent does it, but he is able to revisit the traditional French dishes (his brandade at one my recent visit was perfect), and yet have fun by offering duck wings. Yes, the dinner with wine will set you back somewhere around $50 to $70/person. But you will not regret it. In fact, you'll probably want to come back soon. I know I do.

“Food is always delicious and service great”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

I have been dining at Vincent A Restaurant since it opened. The quality of the food is amazing. The lunch special and the dinner special (Mon through Thurs) are wonderful bargains. The imagination that goes into each dish and the preparation are terrific. Their happy hours (yes there are two during the week) are great deals, especially for the fabulous Vincent Burger. The service is top notch. I have always had delicious food and enjoyed wonderful service and I keep going back.

“Lunchtime Surprise”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

On a reccomendation, we went for lunch and got the Vincent Burger. It is the most expensive burger I have had at $14 but the best. The beef was stuffed with Pork Ribs and Gouda Cheese.

“Happy Hour Secret”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

It was amusing to see Brit's Pub's patio packed recently and next door, Vincent's had empty tables. Brit's does about $1 or so off a pint of beer for happy hour; Vincent has $3 pints (nice choices, even the hard to find Kroenenburg) and $4 house wine. Their wine is always excellent. Happy hour food is above par also, and the $4 poutine and $8 gourmet cheeseburger are highly recommended. Viva la France. Vincent doesn't have huge signs about happy hour but it is M-F. Check it out. Also the Dakotah has finally succumbed to happy hour specials and their wine and beer is also very nice. Downtown Minneapolis on the Mall, what's not to like?
