“Delicious but slow service”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

The food here is really good, and I have not been dissappointed with any meal i have had here (especially the peanut butter, porridge and meat bread). That said the service is always slow, you have to ask for refills for water and coffee and the staff appear to be really casual. I would definitely give the service a 2 or 3, but the food makes up for it.

“Unique place”
Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

We went at "brunch" on Saturday and enjoyed the food and service. The bar atmosphere was ok. Had a great server and food was good and hot. Great coffee and great biscuits and gravy. Peanut butter is Awesome. Wasn't find of how the do scrabbled eggs. Almost a egg "whip"
I would go back, about $20 a person with tip.

“Bad mix of terror and food”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

I was not fond of the horror-motif - particularly in the restrooms which were too scary for children. The food was good but the menu too extensive resulting in some odd interpretations of classic dishes such as huevos rancheros. Service was somewhat weak for brunch given an enormous crowd and relatively little staff. Overall i was disappointed but can see that it would be quite possible to have a very pleasant meal here.

“Excelent Breakfast and breads”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

This is a great breakfast place that we found out about through a dear friend. Our breakfast was great from start to finish beginning with the homemade peanut butter and jams served up with fresh breads. I could have eaten this by itself for a meal, but instead we ordered off the menu. I wound up going with grilled bison benedict and my wife ordered lemon ricotta cornmeal pancakes.

As you can imagine my grilled bison was served over an english muffin and had hollandaise and some hash browns. My meal was good and worth every penny, but my wife's lemon ricotta pancakes were awesome! Some much lemon and a very delicate texture even with the cornmeal and ricotta.

Everything down to the coffee and service was nice in this place. We even fan into the owner out near the street when we were leaving. He was very genuine and even told us the story of him opening his restaurant. Nice privately owned joint. At one time he said that they even expanded opening another location but could not control the quality in both locations, so father than let the quality/integrity of the food slide he closed the newly expanded place and focused on the original property. Well it shows that he made the right decision and I think his food speaks for itself.
