Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

“Skip Ike's at the Minneapolis Airport”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

It's was the second time visiting. Th first time I ordered the Ike's burger medium. It was well done and I returned the French fries because they were overdone and brown. The new batch was a little lighter in color but tasted old.
Second visit I retried the Ike's burger. It's time it was prepared properly. The French fries were still horrible. (I have eaten at the Ike's downtown and their French fries are delicious). The fries tasted like they were cooked last night and then thrown into an oven. They had the oddest taste. My husband ordered the All American breakfast. He ordered over easy eggs with an English muffin. The eggs were so over-cooked that they were hard and crispy. The English muffin was no where to be seen, instead was given cold wheat bread. Being that we were waiting for a flight there was no time to redo the food. Needless to say, Ike's is off the list. We will try Rock Bottom or Axels Bonfire next time.

“Salmon BLT = BFF”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

Here are the abc's of why you should eat at Ike's:
A.) You get the ambience and energy of being downtown
B.) They have the best Salmon BLT (sorry, Manny's...)
C.) They give you complimentary COOKIES at the end of your meal.
D.) If you aren't going for dinner - or even if you are... no juding - they have the most photogenic bloody mary in the Twin Cities.

“Great Brunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

A great brunch. Eggs Benedict. Breakfast quesadilla. And, all the pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns and sausage you can eat. The brunch starts with a sticky bun that is literally as big as your head. Good service. All food was hot and delicious.

“Found: Great Burger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Looking for a great burger and found it. Was in the mood for a great burger and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was a little dark but the burger was the bomb! Kind of pricey for a burger but that seems par for the course these days with a high-end burger. Highly recommend the Roadhouse Burger!

“DFW take notes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

Nice place for an airport location. The folks at DFW should take notes on to open a Resturant with service in an airport. You don't get the feeling you are in an airport and the staff really waits on you. Not like alot of establishments today.
