Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

Stopped in during the last weekend of March and enjoyed cocktails and dinner. They always have a blue plate special and other great options on the menu. We both had steaks and they were done to perfection! Potatoes were decent and I would definitely go again. Make this a stop on your next trip to Minneapolis!

Had a great lunch, Nice ambiance, friendly waiter. Roadhouse burger was beyond. Super juicy, no condiments needed. Really enjoyed myself! My bill came with warm-from-the-oven cookies and lollipops. They also have a secret entrance to the Skyway which came in handy on the 5 degree day. Go - you'll love it.

I was on a mission to find the best bloody mary in town while I was visiting Minneapolis for my birthday and as soon as we stumbled into Ike's, I knew this is where it would be. We came right at the height of brunch so there was a small wait - but worth it. We sat at the bar and the bartender could not have been friendlier. This bloody was like a meal - it came in a huge glass with more garnishes than you would believe; just like how it should. On a side note, all around me people were ordering both breakfast and luch and it looked incredible. While it seems a little pricey, when you see the product you will know why. I will definitely be back again!

I ate at Ike's from a recommendation from a coworker, who frequents the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, with nicely dressed patrons and attentive waitstaff. The food selection was geared towards burgers, but there is a nice variety of fare. I ordered crab cakes, which for not being located on the ocean, were actually quite good. My friends ordered a turkey burger, which was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere was good. The food was decent. All else considered, I will return.

Burgers, Beers, and lots of other stuff! Has a classic Sinatra-feel to the place, but the combinations - particularly the burgers (not cheap ~ $18) - but a single burger can easily feed a couple.
Love going to the friendly and quick-serving, fresh to order restaurant ....in an airport! The downtown location is not as large or attractive, and obviously faces much greater competition!
