The tour is in a riding elevator and very interesting. There is also a museum you can tour and hands on exhibits. There is a taste testing bakery also. Great for all ages.

The museum is really interesting, it nicely showcases local history. There are lots of activities for kids, including sampling some goodies in the baking lab. The flour tower tour is the best part of the visit. The tour is really well done and the staff are very knowledgable (there are lots of loud noises which could be scary for children, you can explain it to them ahead of time because it was not mentioned in the tour). The farmers market, complete with local vendors and unique souvenirs, is held outside and in part of the mill. This was one of my favourite attractions in Minneapolis.

I didn't know what to expect in this museum, but I was quite impressed! The setting inside an old mill creates for a unique environment and great views over the Mississippi River. The elevator ride is a great touch, there are bread samples in the kitchen, and you get to learn about how to mill was crucial to the city's birth. All the workers were quite knowledgeable and friendly. I'd highly recommend visiting the Mill City Museum during your time in Minneapolis.

We used the bike rentals to enjoy a wonderful weekend of Art-A-Whirl. What a blast. So many clever young people doing such interesting stuff.

I really liked that the tour went in a huge elevator. And don't miss the little treat in the kitchen!
