This museum has an ideal location by Lake Calhoun. The experiments about electricity are really fun. We especially like the game that tests one's ability to calm and focus the mind and the static electricity machine that measures how much one's hair stands on end.

Both kids and adults will learn something from this museum about electricity. They even have an original Raoul Duffy painting I have never seen before done for the museum!

My kids are only 2 and 5 but they loved the Bakken. The electric party games upstairs are great! The main floor has interactive exhibits that kept their attention and they enjoyed the outdoor garden as well to play around in. I figured that if they didn't like it their ages are free admission and we could go to a nearby playground, but I had to drag them out of the museum!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place was great. I spent at least an hour doing all the hands on exhibits. Lots of old medical devices. Cool stuff on electricity and Frankenstein. Really beautiful old building on a lake. There was a group of school kids there that seemed to be having fun. Good time for kids and adults. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
