this hotel was beautiful, very modern and pleasing to the eye in most ways. The hotel room was different from most hotels due to the fact it was so light, bright, and white...combined with the modern decor and its a winner. If you need a cool and pretty place to stay at, and the most important feature is being downtown, then this is the hotel for you. But make sure to read the cons before you decide to book there ;)

Pros:
the downtown location
the modern decor
the clean and well maintained rooms and building
the bathroom shower with the 6-8 shower heads
beds were comfortable and sleeping ideal
nice staff

Cons:
they have valet services, which was very nice since it was middle of winter (but they don't mention its a 25-30 dollar/day charge, so that plus tipping was a $50/day service that was unknown)

they have elevators that stop at the 4th floor then you have to get out walk around the building ( as you go past the bar...Im assuming they did this on purpose to increase traffic to bar) then get on another set of elevators to get to your room...by the 10th time you must do it...its gets old

I also felt for this price range there should have been some type of pool, hot tub, sauna ...something. There is none.

also esp. on weekend nights be prepared to be woken up by people on the streets yelling and cars honking. I had to get some sleep on a Saturday night...and it was very hard, since the noise woke me up every hour at least ( note I am NOT a light sleeper so if it woke me up...then it will wake anyone up) my suggestion, bring your own ear plugs and set your phone on a sleep program with noise canceling .

overall, for location alone I was glad I stayed here and had a good experience ;)

My husband and I spent a February weekend at the Graves 601 Hotel. We were primarily in Minneapolis to see a band perform at the legendary First Avenue club, which is about 500 yards from the Graves 601 Hotel’s front door, so, obviously, the location was perfect. We didn’t have to mess with carrying our coats around the club; we just left them in the hotel room and raced across the street. The hotel is also ideally located directly across the street from the Target Center and is also close to several theatres (plays not movies), restaurants, and bars. The hotel is quite modern and chic without being snooty or pretentious. The minimalist lighting ties in with the chic style, though I found it a little off-putting as it also made it a bit hard to see in the hallways and around the elevators. Our room was clean and beautifully appointed with hardwood floors, glass features, a large window, modern and comfortable furniture, flat screen TVs in the main room and also in the bathroom, tile/glass bathroom with a fun multi-jet shower, a safe, espresso machine, robes, and a minibar stocked with beverages, candy, snacks, etc. (all for a charge, of course). From what we could tell, our room was located toward the back of the building or at least opposite of the Target Center, so it was quiet. The valet parking was very handy, though when we arrived on a Friday night the driveway area was packed with vehicles and we had to wait about 15 minutes on the street before we could turn into the driveway. Staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. One little thing to note—wifi is not free except in the lobby and the business center, but if you sign up for Wyndham Rewards program (it’s free), you get free wifi in your room. You have to mention this when you check in, and they will ask for your membership number. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again.

Location was great for the twolves game we caught. Rooms were very modern and beautiful. Only downside is crazy prices for valet and it's hard to find another place to park that's convenient. Staff was nice.

Great to hear you stayed with us after the game! Thanks for your kind words on the rooms, and we appreciate your feedback on the valet prices—it's helpful to know what our guests think. We're glad that you thought the staff was nice, too, and we hope you'll visit again the next time you're in town to see the Timberwolves!

I stayed here one night on a business trip in Minneapolis. The hotel is modern and posh and the rooms are very comfortable. Room service was excellent, as was the valet parking for the hotel. The property is centrally located across from the Target center and was close to many restaraunts and nightlife.

I plan to stay here again when I return to Minneapolis later this year. Highly recommended!

My colleagues and I booked through Hotwire and got a very good rate for this hotel. The lobby is low-lit and minimalist and the bar and lounge areas are comfortable with a bit of a sexy vibe. Fun champagne station. Greg was an attentive and professional bartender. For us, the Graves' location was fine but we took taxis everywhere as it was forty below. One thing to note is that the series of covered connectors between buildings are good if you want to access malls without having to brave the weather. I enjoyed my guest room-light wood, interesting backlit wall art, glass features, large window, comfortable bed. I love bathtubs and find these funky, cool hotels seem to only have showers (at least that was the case in my room). It makes me sad but I'll get over it. They don't have a pool; however, they recently opened a spa but we couldn't get in as they were booked up. Guess they are doing well with their 20% off promotion right now. As for dining, we only ate breakfast in the hotel and it was good. As for restaurants outside the hotel I'm not a chain restaurant gal (and MN has so many-why?!). Make sure you talk to Concierge Adam as he was helpful with restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed 112 Eatery. Overall a very good experience at Graves 601.

Yes, it was pretty chilly out there! It was our pleasure to help you feel welcome, and we hope that you were nice and toasty during your stay with us. On a future stay, please request one of our guestrooms that feature a whirlpool tub to help warm you up!

Thanks for making us a part of your trip!
