It can be hard to get reservations at Butcher and the Boar but it was worth the wait. We had reservations at 9:00pm and the place was still packed. We were seated about 20 minutes late. However the bar had a cool vibe and a great menu and the time passed quickly. Folks have mentioned its a bit loud, and it is. All our food was excellent. Who thinks to smoke olives?!? They did and it was awesome. We ordered the long rib and pork chop. The long rib comes with a lot of heat which was a bit too much for me but the quality of the meat was exceptional. The brussels sprouts are the best we ever had. We also enjoyed the semifreddo sweet corn concoction. Seemed like a strange combination of flavors but their chef knows what he's doing. Try it! B&B is a bit spend but a great spot for dinner, drinks, or celebrating.

An excellent place for dinner - as long as you're a carnivore. The braunschweiger and terrine were excellent. The beef long rib (aka brontosaurus rib) was tender and flavorful. The smothered greens were spicy, but good. Great service, impressive tap beer list, and nice atmosphere. I will definitely return.

We went to the Butcher and the Boar for my in-laws 52nd wedding anniversary.
.
This very expensive restaurant and it was like a bar! There was a huge beer garden outside with music and loud talking.

There were many people there that were dressed up, including my family, but the people outside were In jean and t-shirts.
I was so disappointed, I wanted a nice place for the celebration but we could have gone to Apple Bee'!
The food was great but it was hard to enjoy it, with the beer garden going on outside!
I will not go to this place again!

We want to eat dinner here but did not get a chance this trip. This visit was for beer only later in the evening. Great looking restaurant and very friendly and helpful bar staff. Key thing to know here is that the restaurant has a Beer Director and Certified Cicerone. This means great beer. My wife loves sour beers and Butcher & The Boar has a great list of them. We enjoyed our 750ml size sour out on their great patio.

Looking forward to going back for dinner and more great beer.

We visited with some friends who had gotten a gift certificate. Service and food was exceptional. Ambience is cool however it is a little loud. We took the advice of our server and ordered a couple of entrees and split the sides. Pork chop, long rib and sausages were terrific. We had dirty rice, fried green tomatoes, French fries and broccoli-we ate everything! Beer list really ice and a strong and tasty old fashioned. We will go back!
