excellently prepared food from a diverse menu selection with guacamole prepared table side. Presentation and service are very good. Would definitely eat here aGAIN.

“Has the Dreaded Feel of Impending Doom”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

Walking into Rosa's Mexicano feels like walking into a restaurant resigned to closing its doors. The servers and staff feel like they've lost their passion for the place, and the food is uninspired.

Dining here feels like you missed the memo about how bad its become. You quickly notice the lack of patrons, and the skeleton crew of servers. The restaurant is too large, so you quickly feel isolated and alone. Me and my guests contemplated leaving because the vibe of the place was so bad.

Our meals were ok, but certainly not worth the prices charged. We ordered guac, which was supposed to be made tableside. However, it was simply brought out from the kitchen. It was ok, but not worth the $25 price. I had the short ribs for dinner. They were ok, but certainly not worth $30. That was the theme for the food ... ok, but not worth the prices charged.

I left feeling that this restaurant will likely be closed in the coming weeks. It hass already lost it's core patrons ... and the staff seems to sense the inevitable. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for dinner. Don't let Rosa's vibe of impending doom cast a pall over your festive evening out with friends.

Hello STP1606~
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your recent visit to Rosa Mexicano. We are very disappointed to learn that on the night you dined with us you found our food uninspired and our staff lacking passion, that is troubling. Please know that this is the exact opposite of the experience we want for our guests. We truly appreciate your feedback and your comments will be discussed with both service and kitchen staffs. Thank you very much!

“Over priced for New Years Eve”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We had a group of 13 people for New Years. I was able to book the reservation the day before new years- every other place was booked- so kudos for allowing our large group a spot. I was told on the phone that there was a set menu for New Years but that everyone at the table would have to get it if we wanted it- $50 a person. Same as the drink special- all you can drink for 2 hours for $25 but everyone at the table would have to get it. This seems screwy to me and a bad call by the restaurant because there would have been couples that would pick this if we got to choose for ourselves. They said if we didn't pick this for our table we could order off the regular menu. The regular menu was not offered- we had to order a la carte off the accelerated price new years menu. The cheapest thing on the menu were chicken burritos $24- which sounded great but they were so small all of the guys were starving after dinner.
This was the kind of restaurant where you have to pick up McDonald's after because the portions were so small. I might have liked this restaurant on a day other than New Years but I felt cheated on this day.

“Not impressed”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

The food was mediocre at best, the service was screwy and it's wildly over priced. For two of us, it was $100. We ordered two margaritas (at $11 a piece, and were served in low ball glasses), 2 beers and two entrees. Shortly before the server brought out the entrees, another server brought us salsa and asked if we wanted more chips. That was nice and all, but we never received chips to begin with.

Once the entrees arrived, they were fine, but certainly not worth the $19 we paid for what was basically chicken fajitas. I would recommend hitting an El Loro type joint before this place every single time. Very disappointed.

“Rosa Mexicano”
Reviewed January 3, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Stumbled upon this little gem by accident and was not disappointed. We only had drinks and appetizers of fresh made guacamole and Chihuahua cheese dip, but those were delicious and of high quality. What made it all an even better experience though was the service of the bartender and servers, what could have been an average experience was turned into much more.
