Let me start by saying I have been a huge fan and regular customer of Syrdyk's at Hennepin and University for 20 years. The airport location, however, was disappointing. The idea of being able to buy nice wine to take onboard is a good one, but the food and service is lacking. I purchased a salad with sliced chicken and water for take out. First thing when I opened my bag was to find that while there were large slices of chicken and fairly large pieces of lettuce in the salad, the woman who packed the bag included a fork, but no knife. So, no good way to eat the thing. After managing to cut some with my fork, a trick in the limited space of travel, I noticed a piece of chicken looked a bit bloody. Checked to see if it had been near a cut tomato or something that would cause the color, but no. Upon further investigation it was clear that this part of the chicken was well undercooked and of course had potentially contaminated the entire salad. I stopped eating it at that point and about an hour later, my stomach told be I had indeed consumed something from undercooked meat. Just what you need on a flight starting a trip. Wish I had gone anywhere else.
