“Great neighborhood restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

Tilia is a great restaurant in SW MPLS...there might be a wait, and if so stop by Sebastian Joes for an ice cream. I recommend the fish torta, it's superb, but everything was fantastic!

“Perfect dining experience in a quaint neighborhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

Small but carefully crafted menu. Fabulous ambiance. unique and large beer selection on-tap, and the ginger mimosa is amazing. If you come in off-peak hours you may get a seat right away, otherwise plan a 45 minute wait (but worth it).

This place is so good my wife and I are considering moving to Linden Hills so we could frequent more often.

“Good food; light portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

We had to wait a bit on a Wednesday evening for a table, but as it was warm outside, that was OK. The servers were cordial and provided good service. The atmosphere was pleasant. The space is fairly small and busy so it can get loud. Good beer selection. The food was of good quality, but portions were small so we were hungry after we left. I wouldn't return but it was worth trying once as I had heard about it quite a bit.

“Very good food in an upscale-casual setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

Tilia was opened as a part of the trend of neighborhood gastropubs aimed at the foodie set. It quickly established itself as the cuisine is excellent and often works in local and season items. The service is good, though not excellent. As is (sadly) popular for new neighborhood gastropubs, it does not allow reservations--which is a little annoying because it's a bit out of the way (in Linden Hills) with only a few other restaurants nearby--though the neighboring Harriet Brasserie is also quite good. Weekday lunch is often possible without too much of a wait, but you're seriously rolling the dice if it's an evening or weekend. Worth the headache if you like good food and it isn't too cold outside.
