“Beautiful view of the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

After our tour at the Mill City Museum, we went for a walk across the Stone Arch Bridge. A great photo opportunity to capture views of Minneapolis and the Mississippi River. Just be careful of the bicyclists, some go very fast.

“Enjoyed seeing the bridge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

THis was a pretty unusual bridge - near a large excavation of old mills. very interesting. pay to park ($1.00, I think), but several things to explore in the area. Lots of people out walking and exploring the area.

“Beautiful and Historic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Beautiful and historic. If you're only in town for a short time it's worth walking along after dinner at one of the restaurants along St. Anthony Main. Very picturesque.

“A little history with your exercise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

If you enjoy history, architecture, and/or nature, the Stone Arch Bridge is worth a visit while in Minneapolis. The bridge itself is historic and attractive, and it affords views of the Mississippi, the falls, the downtown skyline, and the ruins of early Minneapolis construction. The bridge is accessible by bike and pedestrian trails running along each side of the river, and there is historical information posted on the bridge. For all these reasons, it's a nice place to visit any time, but if you couple it with a special occasion, such as the art festival held each year (June, if memory serves), you can get even more from your visit.
