This continues to be one of my favorites. Huge menu selction of quality foods for every taste. Service is always great. Usually a bit of a wait for a table on busy nights but worth the wait.

I travel to Edina several times a year and have visited Tavern on France many times. In the last year though, the food has declined to where I'll stop for a beer but will head elsewhere for a meal. Food is pretty bland and portions are skimpy. My French Dip sandwich was all bread, very little beef. I've never experienced the service issues but the place stays packed so I'd imagine they have an occasional lapse there. Hope they improve the food quality as its a nice place with a great patio when the weather is nice.

First off---you better get there really early to get a spot in the indoor bar area in the winter or outside dining in the summer. This place jumps! Frequented by all adult age groups. Best bet is to invest $20 and join the Tavern Club. Large tankards of beer at a low price and 20% off on the food. Writing pads (order forms) located at the table where you can design your own Bloody Mary, Salad or Burger. The Blue Chips appetizer is yummy---blue cheese and other fixings on top of homemade chips.

Went here recently and despite a call ahead for a reservation the wait was still 40 minutes.
The food was decent but I do not think that I would say that it was worth the wait.
Opted for fish and chips. The portions were plentiful.
Food came out very fast for how busy the place was but wehad to wait for the check for sometime.
Was put in the back of the restaurant which I am going to guess is saved for families with screaming kids based on what was around us.
