so much fun to watch the food go round! hard to decide what to have. I had three plates. Each was fresh and tasty. And the kitchen folks were watching to make sure that people's preferences were on the conveyer belt

What a fun & unique dining experience! Not a black tie affair but expect to taste all kinds of yummy sushi & snacks that pass by you in a conveyor belt. You just reach out and grab a covered plate and eat away. No waiting for your food. You do have a server to get you drinks or any items that you may want that are not on the traveling train. Prices are good too- not outrageously expensive as some sushi restaurants can be. I would recommend making reservations if you plan to go on a weekend night.
Our wait was less because of our reservation. The rolls were all excellent as well as the yellowtail sashimi. They also have a full bar.

Who doesn't love a sushi train?! The fish was very fresh-tasting (although it does weird me out wondering how long some of those plates have been on the conveyor belt). We went on a busy night, and everything we had was really good! Fun place to bring your kids- but teach them to read the menu because those little plates add up really fast! ;-)

My husband and I decided to try Sushi Train when we were staying downtown. What a fun place. From the super friendly hostess to the great servers we never wanted for anything. As a couple of newbies they explained it all well and soon we were eating delicious fresh sushi. Thanks for a great time!

You know you're living right when an awesome sushi restaurant moves into your neighborhood. We waited all summer for the hubbub to simmer down before trying Sushi Train. It was worth the wait!

PRO TIP: Unless you are really into the conveyor experience, sit at the bar. Your drinks will come faster and you can still order everything off the menu. But don't take my seat, m'kay?

We got our happy on with beer, sake and sushi rolls. I had a few Asahis (recall that we live in stumbling distance) and The Smokin' Hubster started with a sake flight. He eventually moved to glasses of Sho Junmai Ginjo, so we both did some damage to the overall bill.

For anyone that's eaten sushi rolls at other places: The rolls are roughly half-sized and half-priced. That took us a moment to adjust to, and then we realized that meant we can try more things! Here's the damage:
Red dragon roll
Golden mountain roll
Da Ban roll
Dragon roll
Yellow tail scallion roll
Eel cucumber
Tomago
Octopus
Spicy crab
Salmon lover roll
Caterpillar roll

Everything was fresh, expertly prepared and SUPER YUMMY! Yeah, totally worth the wait and lives up to the hype!

Oh, yeah. We were sporting fat, dumb and happy. The only thing we did wrong was all of this on a Sunday night. Getting up for work on Monday was... well, it was Monday.
