We happened on this place when in the neighborhood for another function down the road and wanted a much before. Immediately felt that warm and fuzzy feeling when we walked in. We had the deep fried mushrooms and they were fabulous. Next visit we actually had lunch. One of the best burgers ever and no skimping on the cheese like so many other places. Fries are almost "steak fries" and very yummy. Found out the "bartendress" was from where we live now (quite a few miles away) and she was a blast ! Next visit had the French onion soup and have to admit is was the best we ever tasted - EVER !. Then on our last visit it was the bar's anniversary and street party for the road it is on and was the busiest we had seen, but still no waiting for a table. The mushrooms weren't quite as good as the first visit (overcooked batter), but still good and again the burgers wonderful !..Sure wish we lived closer, but the distance will not keep us away. LOVE THIS PLACE !

Thank you so much for your business and the great review! We have updated our menu with many wonderful items and it's changing with the seasons. The fries, mushrooms and burgers are still the same though! Hope to see you again soon!

After a recent Mpls power outage lasting several days, we stumbled upon the Rail Station after trying three other SE Mpls eateries that were closed on a Sunday afternoon. They had a power generator and were open. I find out that this is the sister bar of NE's Stanley's. Similar menus, but dear husband and I thought the food here was better. Must haves: onion rings, Chef's salad - decent burgers and a good enough beef dip sandwich. Nice beer selections. If you're in the area, definitely worth a stop-in. Nice little outdoor patio.

Yummy food (big menu). BARGO (bar bingo) on certain nights is fun. Good people watching. Always busy, but usually no wait for a table.

It is a great "townie" bar. Always busy and a lively crowd. Great place to watch a game, hang out with friends, or grab dinner. Buffalo chicken sandwich is great, and great selection of beers on tap!
