The Aloft in Minneapolis, honestly, was not my FIRST choice in this very cool town. I'm Starwood Platinum and was attending a convention and the hotels closer to the Convention Center were out of budget this go around. So while it is several blocks from the nucleus of the MSP downtown area, it was good enough with respect to location.
The property is very high tech, replete with iPod chargers and multiple outlets for the business traveler. They serve a hot breakfast to order at extremely reasonable prices, have a bar for the thirsty traveler, and all in all provide a comfortable, spacious enough room for the casual or business traveler. BUT....better coffee would be welcomed. :)
The hotel also offers a very useful shuttle service that shuttles guests around the local area at no charge (tips appreciated) and the drivers were extremely courteous and friendly.
The ONLY reason I would not rate this a "5 Star" property is because it is not. Those ratings I reserve for a choice few. But it is a VERY nice property and provides a very good value for what the property delivers. I'd recommend this to anyone for between $129-$159 MAX.More
