This was my first time staying at a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. The Hotel Minneapolis was a great way to test out this relatively new line.

The hotel itself is old and historic...very fun. The rooms, however, are spacious, updated and comfortable. I could neither hear hall traffic nor road traffic (10th floor).

While the building is historic, the furnishings and decor have a more modern feel.

The hotel is within walking distance of good shopping and dining.

The young man in the concierge lounge was kind enough to steer me from bad local beer toward good local beer, too. Only compliant: the food spread in the concierge lounge was less-than-exciting. Four choices, none that really jumped out at me.

Our stay could not have been any better. Location was perfect--walked to Target Field and Nicolette Mall from the hotel. Light rail station was only a block away and was able to take that to MOA. The service was superb, the staff all very friendly and professional. The food at Max's was excellent! Can not think of one thing that needed improving!

The hotel was a two block walk from the light rail from the airport. Located on a quiet corner, it was close enough to the action to walk to everything. The room and bath were large, and there was a business center where I could check my email for free. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only note is try to find a local place for breakfast. My breakfast there was mediocre (coffee luke warm) and I found a place just 5 short blocks up the street.

We had a room with King size bed, very comfy. The bathroom was huge. It was so quiet in our room...no traffic or air noise at all. Had a reasonably priced breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs on Sunday morning. Such a great building (an old bank). We used the valet parking...a bit pricy, but you could come and go with the car as many times as you wanted for now additional charge. They did recommend a public ramp down the street that was cheaper, but then you pay each time you come and go.

It's a great hotel. Walking distance from many downtown restaurants but their staff seams too new and though they are nice they were not that helpful.

I chose this hotel because it was close to my son's wedding on Nicolette Island. I had booked several rooms for my family and groomsmen months in advance and had several changes at the last minute. The rooms were large, comfortable and well decorated. The entire staff from the desk to the parking attendants were incredible. They openly offered a group discount and allowed us to set up a tab at the restaurant for "the boys" to minimize our stress. On the day of the event they had no problems with the photographer posing the group in the restaurant and, which by the way was impressive with marble and water scape. At one point we needed the car in a hurry and the valet had it running with the air conditioning on when we arrived.
