Surprisingly, there aren't as many little restaurants near the Guthrie Theatre as one would expect. This one right kiddy-korner with no need to re-park car, so its convenient. Very nice and and light with with yellow tones and paper lamps and a small bar. Tea is served in a fun bright colored little tea pots. Standard Tai dishes reasonably priced. The Curry potate dish was wonderfully rich, spicy and authentic. The wraps appetizer was quite spicy and served with leafy lettuce that was almost impossible to wrap. Tempura fried green beans and sweet potatoes were a fun change. Service was fine and quick. Would go again and try something different - too bad they dont' have lunch menu. Just one, and its dinner prices - big wine selection too!

Ordered food for delivery and had a few different dishes to try. The food was suprisingly really good! I later returned to eat in and liked the place alot. Street or ramp parking not so bad, staff was attentive. Food was very good. I would go back and reccommend.

I got the spring roll and fried calamari as an appetizer. Both very standard, but tasty. I got the coconut broth w/ spice soup which I absolutely loved and thought had tons of flavor. For the main dish I got the drunk noodles which was fantastic. It was sweet with a bit of kick and had the right mix of veggies, shrimp, and noodles.

I would highly recommend this restraunt for a casual dinner location. Very tasty.

They have a decent happy hour and it is a good place to go if you are seeing a play at the Guthrie, but if you are going there after the show, be sure to make reservations! Also in the winter, make sure to wear something warm since it is somewhat cold in there. The concrete flooring probably doesn't help.

We went to Kindee before a matinee at the Guthrie across the street, looking for a midscale alternative to the offerings at the theatre itself. In this, Kindee did not disappoint. Our party of five was in and out in 45 minutes and enjoyed a light but satisfying lunch before the play without feeling rushed, despite the fact that our server was working extra hard to cover for an absent colleague. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and the proportions for the mains are abundant. I particularly enjoyed my order of Pad Se Ew with mock duck, with the crunch of the Asian broccoli complementing the savory chewiness of the seitan. The appetizers are small---they are truly intended to be ordered before one of the mains. Lunch for five (two curries---roast duck and green, an order of Pad Se Ew, and various appetizers in lunch size combinations for two of us) came to about $70.
