Owner description: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

After a couple of hours viewing art at the MIA, we drove over to the sculpture garden to enjoy the fall weather and let our little one run! Having heard it was a treat , weren't disappointed at all. While everyone knows the cherry in the spoon, we were blessed to see a combination of world class sculptures in an place that was like A pleas touch me museum, with lovely gardens, water features and a family friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to see it in other seasons of the year to view them again!

“Liked the Spoon bridge and Cherry”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

I'm not into art, but wanted to see the sculpture garden, which was a nice and peaceful especially off season. Enjoyed walking around with pleasant weather.
The walker Art center is free on Thursday nights 5-9 and some Saturdays. My husband visited the Garden Cafe and had some coffee, they have some tables to sit and relax in.

“Disappointing”

Highly talked about in all travel literature about Minneapolis, but nothing great. It was pretty ordinary stuff. Wish they had something really stunning on display.

“Incredible Sculptures in the Heart of the City”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

The sculpture garden is in the heart of the city but it is an oasis! What a wonderful place to spend a few hours viewing incredible art, strolling through the park and taking a break by sitting on a bench surrounded by world renown artworks. You will recognize the cherry and spoon piece!

“i like this place”

Just a nice relaxing space one can stroll through and then go to the Museum next door. I visited when the weather was a bit grey, but it still was a tranquil place.
