Owner description: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

A nice excuse to get outside, get some fresh air, excercise, and culture all at the same time! And it is free. Make sure to visit the conservatory for more interesting displays. Great views of the Minneapolis skyline. When you're done, enjoy the short drive through an area of beautiful homes to Lake of the Isles.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden features sculptures by local and national artists and is situated next to the Walker Art Center, a nationally acclaimed modern art museum. The garden is famous for the giant spoon with a cherry on top sculpture, but it also has a beautiful park with tree-lined walkways and lakes. My favorite feature is the glass greenhouse complete with glass fish sculpture, koi fish, and palm trees. The 80 degree greenhouse is a wonderful place to escape and watch the snow fall outside. A walkway over the neighboring streets leads to Loring Park, one of the largest area parks.

Fun outing on a beautiful Minnesota day - great place for kids to run around and burn off energy. Don't miss the indoor greenhouse and huge carp statue.

This is a free venue. It is a nice place to have a picnic. The giant spoon and cherry sculpture is a great place to pose for a pic with the city's skyline in the background. There is nothing stuffy about it - you could walk around in your bathing suit if you wanted to. Some of the sculptures are remarkable and others I wonder what the heck they were thinking. The sculptures are changed out from time to time so there is always something new to go back to 6 months later.

If you are here, you should at least stop by. A great way to see downtown views and enjoy a nice space. There is also a nice little conservatory with some indoor sculptures that are warm and worth a look. The structures are fabulous and some of them really help you think!
