Owner description: The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

Of course you will first visit the Walker Art Center next store, but no stop in Mpls is complete without a visit to the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture. Take a walk over the bridge to Loring Park and have lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants facing the park on the North side.

This is just a relaxing place to wander and enjoy the view. Pack a picnic and throw down a blanket . . . sit in the shade of a sculpture.

If you come to Minneapolis, you HAVE to get a picture of you in front of the cherry & spoon! It is a MUST. Other than that the sculptures are a nice stroll but not too exciting.

Was hoping for a bigger venue with lots and lots of sculptures, but it was a nice walk around. We wandered over after hitting the Walker Center.

Lots of interesting (and some strange) outdoor art. Great place for photographs. Saw many families having professional photo shoots. Visited on a coolish day, but enjoyed the 'art'! Easy walking excursion.
