“Best park in the city/wonderful man-made lake”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I am a resident of Maple Grove with two young children. This is our park of choice when we plan an afternoon out. The park is pretty new and has all the modern surfaces. It's divided up by color (each color signifies a different learning experience) and there is a section for very little kids. My kids love this park and could spend hours exploring. There is also a man-made lake with a beach that surrounds it very close by. It has lifeguards, concessions, showers, beach umbrellas, and is very very affordable. Plus, there are miles of paved trails right there too. Definitely a fun outing if you are looking for something fun to do in Maple Grove and don't want to shop.

“one of the best we've ever seen”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

clean, amazingly well maintained. Unless you know the area or have a friend who mentioned it, it's a bit of a hidden gem. It's amazing to find an outdoor paradise of this caliber so close to suburban mall madness and restaurants galore.

Kids 0-15+ will find something to do here. lots of seating. stroller friendly.

“Very pleasant park for hiking and many other uses”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Visited here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. Sampled about 5 miles of hiking trails (there are many more) that took us around lakes and through woods. Many miles of bike trails, as well - this was a popular activity the day we were there. While I would return for more hiking, others will find the swimming beach and disc golf attractive; in winter there is both cross country and downhill skiing (although what appears to be a fairly small hill). The main park building is beautiful - the day we were there things were being set up for a wedding and reception. Elm Creek Park Reserve is easy to find and not far from the core Metro area when not dealing with weekday traffic. There is no entrance fee.
