Excellent homemade chips and salsa. The prices of the lunch special are strange. Two tacos or two enchiladas with rice AND beans costs $5.89 -- but one taco, one enchilada, and rice OR beans is also $5.89. The cheese enchiladas are made with hard cheeses (which is good) and the enchilada sauce had both heat and flavor. The corn tortilla in the enchilada was nice and thick, but not very flavorful, and onions would’ve been a nice addition. The homemade taco shells were very good, but shredded beef wasn’t an option; still, the ground beef with onions was fairly good. Dressing the tacos up with some diced tomatoes would’ve been an improvement. Being from Arizona, I don’t expect much from Minnesotan Mexican restaurants, but this was pretty good. With some tweaks -- tastier corn tortillas and shredded beef for the tacos -- I really think it could be great.
