Overall room was sufficient for the price. Major issue with WiFi though, as it would only work well nearer to the main office. Reduced the amount of work I could do in my room due to having to take my laptop to the lobby area. Breakfast was good and more than sufficient with many choices. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room tip: If you need reliable WiFi, ask for a room nearer to the lobby.

The Best Western Hotel staff was friendly and nice although the breakfast was lacking. The food was overcooked and there were not enough food choices. Pool and hot tub area was perfect for families. The fitness facility could use an upgrade. An overall average hotel.

0 ZERO STARS or negative stars.
Be warned: This place is awful!
We stayed here for the state soccer tournament. It was the only hotel available. Unfortunately, this is the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We arrived thinking the place had been shut down. Upon arrival, the main front door was locked and I was unable to get into the building at 3:30pm on a Thursday. The outside is unkept with weeds growing everywhere. There was bird droppings and cigarette butts all along the sidewalk and entrance closest to our rooms. The security feature on one of the entrance doors was disabled. All of the rooms my family stayed in smelled musty/moldy. We did not have ANY hot water the first night and we were unable to bathe kids/shower in either of the two rooms we occupied. We were offered a disappointing $9.00 discount that was eventually changed to $18.00. No other solution was offered and declined switching us to other rooms. I was told that maintenance would look into it the next day. Apparently, there was a fuse/breaker or switch that had been turned off. I read several similar reviews/complaints from previous guests which leads me to believe this is intentionally done to save money. There was mold on the shower wall and the entire lower part of the shower curtain was filthy and discolored. AND there was a disgusting LIVE bug that fell off the shower curtain and into the bathtub. Yuck!!
One of the beds had hair in it. GROSS!
The creamer sitting next to the coffee maker in the front lobby was expired by several months.
The pool was awful and the hot tub was worse. You could not see clearly to the bottom which is definitely a violation. There was no detectable chlorine smell at all the entire weekend. There was visible floating particles on top of the water. Keep in mind, this was Thursday BEFORE the busy soccer tournament weekend. There were no pool towels available. This hotel is in need of new management/owners and is an embarrassment to the Best Western name.

Because of the experience with the Best Western Mankato, MN, we will never stay at another Best Western hotel.

Room was clean and beds were comfy. Easy check-in and friendly staff. Good breakfast options. Pool area was awesome. Key cards were the only issue, as it got deactivated twice, but the issue was I accidentally kept it near my phone.
