We booked this hotel as it was one of the only ones available in Mankato for Family Weekend at the college. For starters....it was hard to determine where the lobby was from the outside. Our room was ok, but the heater/ac didn't really work that great. The pool/pool area....well the a/c was on and it was freezing. The pool was cold and when we asked the front desk to turn it off, it took them forever. The floors outside the pool area were so cold it was like walking on ice. I nearly fell 10+ times. The sauna wasn't working. The hot tub/whirlpool was warm but the jets didn't work. The breakfast....well, for a hotel that was basically sold out, the staff were no where prepared for the number of guests to be eating. We waited for sausages, eggs, bread, milk, juice, plates, silverware, pancake batter(the handle was broken and they attempted to fix it 3 times). And the a/c was on full force, blowing extremely cold air over the seating area, and the food when it finally came out got cold as we walked to the tables, due to the temperature in the pool area. What a disappointment. I am not sure where the "Remodeling" was going on per the sign, but I can make them a list for the future. People, please read the reviews and listen to them. I wish I would have, but I needed a room for me and my family. I should have booked in St. Peter. The extra drive may have been worth it this time.
