Under the direction of Kenneth Freed, who also is a violist with the Minnesota Orchestra and regular substitute with the New York Philharmonic, this orchestra is made up of top talent from around the region and the state. They perform great music using different musical genres with grace. This is a gem. Last concert we saw was a semi-staged production of Carmen with leads from the Minnesota Opera’s Young Artist Program. They deserve better confines than the Mankato West High School Auditorium but for now that's where they are performing. While sound is pretty good around all seats, don't pass up the balcony. Good views.
