“Double waterfall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Kind of two parks in one really. The waterfall is awesome and there is a short trail going to the bottom of it. But for actual hiking you have togo the camping part of the park. There is better hiking in other local parks. Can't find waterfalls like that anywhere else around here though.

“A nice park to visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

We camped at the park. Nice sized sites with some brush in between. Only a few electric sites.
. A lot of trails to hike and cache. Unfortunately the trail to the falls was under construction, but not much falls to see as it was dry. We hiked to the mill and read about the interesting history. Didn't care much for the pit toilets

“One of the most beautiful spots in Southern Minnesota”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

If you like nature walks, this is the place. The falls, when we have rain and water, is breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful and gives you an idea of what the river valley was like hundreds of years ago.

“Great Park in Mankato”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

Very beautiful park, the falls are very nice and the trails more technical than most. The old bridge is currently being tore out and the new one under construction. This limits access to part of the park, but just walk through the river by jumping the rocks and go around the orange construction barrier and you are on the other side. The water level is low due to the time of the season and lack of rains. The camping area is awesome and the sites are surrounded by trees giving the appearance of being alone in the woods.
