If you like nature walks, this is the place. The falls, when we have rain and water, is breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful and gives you an idea of what the river valley was like hundreds of years ago.

Very beautiful park, the falls are very nice and the trails more technical than most. The old bridge is currently being tore out and the new one under construction. This limits access to part of the park, but just walk through the river by jumping the rocks and go around the orange construction barrier and you are on the other side. The water level is low due to the time of the season and lack of rains. The camping area is awesome and the sites are surrounded by trees giving the appearance of being alone in the woods.

My favorite part are the small waterfalls. Nice pathways. Peaceful feeling, if not too crowded.

I have been camping at Minneopa since I was born. There are so many places to explore from the falls to the mill. I have so many wonderful memories here and would suggest any one to visit.

The falls, when running, are pleasant and not what you'd expect in Mankato. It has a huge shelter which can be used for bigger events outside. The trail around it is fine but the park itself and the falls are the real attraction. It also is attached to the Red Jacket Trail bike path system.
