We had been here a couple a couple of years ago and enjoyed our meal, so we booked again and weren't disappointed. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Everyone had different and all the plates were left bare, the food was delicious. The children all had deserts and devoured them. The service was efficient without being annoying. We will defiantly be back :-)

My 2 friends and I came here on Saturday 2nd August after a day at Alton Towers. I checked trip advisor to find a good restaurant and Queen's at Freehay came up and it did not disappoint!
You know when you really fancy something and you have a picture in your head of what you want to eat.. this is exactly what we got and so much more! My 2 friends had the lamb shank and I had the beef pie and for pudding we all had sticky toffee pudding. The manager was really friendly and helpful and when I called up to book a table he managed to squeeze us in even though they were fully booked. The next morning we woke up still talking about how good the food was! I will definitely be going back if I'm ever in the area again.

This is a friendly, local restaurant, which serves good fresh food in an relaxed atmosphere. We have spent evenings here for family gatherings, friends celebrations, Christmas or just a pleasant meal for two. The menu is made up of familiar favourites and a specials board which changes regularly. The meats are locally sourced and fresh and there is always a good selection of vegetables and salad. The wine list is varied, the staff friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable for the standard of food that is served. It is always advisable to book in advance but it is possible to get a table without, if lucky.
Freehay is a little off the main roads, but not far from Alton Towers and Cheadle.

We looked up this pub before we went and had a peek at the menu on the web and it all looked great. On arrival we were very warmly welcomed and the service was fantastic but unfortunately the meals did not quite fulfil expectations. The food was good but not great. It was probably better than the average pub but the menu is better than your average boozer more like a gastro pub. We went as a party of 6 and most dishes were average but the odd one stood out as being excellent. The chocolate pudding was great but the "seasonal" fruit pie was not in season and didn't match up. A real shame as otherwise this is a lovely pub close to Cheadle but hidden in the countryside.

Menu can be little pricey for a pub meal but well worth the money staff helpful enough we didn't feel rushed. Iam vegetarian but there was a choice puddings very tempting and homemade couldn't fault the food
