Not a bad word to say about this place, the food was fab, they had a great selection on the menu, big portions, good prices and lovely friendly lovely staff. Couldn't ask for more. I would return if I was to be in the area.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

Visited with wife,3 yr old and two other friends whilst staying at Quarry Walk Lodges. Booked about a week in advance, advice from family who had been.

Pub Is situated on a very quite roundabout, selection on local ales, I must say the Fourtyninner was very nice. Plenty of choice on the menu all locally sourced. Food arrived promptly but not rushed. Presented well and very tasty.

Would defo return if back up that way again, if your staying nearby, it's worthy visit. Made to feel very welcome.

“Great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

This was my second meal at the Queen's, first time we visited was a quiet lunchtime, this time it was Friday evening & the place was heaving, booking is essential, but if you want a quiet meal I would strongly recommend lunch rather than Dinner.
I had the slow roasted Pork shoulder which was really tender & tasty, a little more jus & it would have been perfect. The highlight of the meal was probably the Lyonnaise potatoes which were superb.
