We previously stay in the summer in the owl garden were we were blown away by the attention to detail and overall package , so we decided to return for our annual October break due to the dog and budget we stayed in a squirrel …..and once again amazing stay, thoroughly enjoyable, quality through and through first class cannot recommend highly enough

Stayed 17th October for 3 nights at Quarry Walk Lodges and had a great stay. Reception staff very helpful and Owl 38 was just perfect. Very clean, large with two spacious bedrooms, one on-suite and a well fitted kitchen with home from home appliances including dishwasher in which tablets are supplied.
Just a few miles from Alton Towers, perfect location for being hidden away, escaping the day to day stresses, if you are wanting more activities on site then do not go here, this is for those that wish to be self sufficient and have peace and quiet.
Excellent base for walking, just a mile either side of the lodges is a pub, the Raddle Inn was traditional and friendly and ok for a quick bite to eat, nothing special but ok.
Highly recommend these lodges, they are excellent quality and just perfect to escape to!

Room Tip: Travel here if you want a peaceful location and not one with any activities, it's ideal to have...

this was our second visit to Quarry Walk in as many years. Previously we stayed in Squirrel 52 i think it was , this time we chose a different cabin to change it up a bit. Fox 54 - well this was also a 4 person cabin, it was in my opinion more homely than the lodge we had last year. Nice carpet under the feet at night, en suite and a much bigger hot tub as well.
Quarry walk is ideally sited for Alton Towers and Chester Zoo is less than an hours drive away as well.
At night is was silent, not a sound, i had the best nights sleep at Quarry Walk than i have had in a long time ! The quiet atmosphere can be attributed to the no stag and hens and no groups of under 25.
Check in was smooth and the staff were great as always.
Will be back again next year for sure !

Me, the husband and our 3 children (7,4 and 6M) stayed at Badger plus no 34. for a weekend for my husbands birthday and I can honestly say it was FANTASTIC!
We arrived at 5.30pm and check in was nice and easy, reception said someone would be round soon to show you how hottub works. Yep the man came about 2 mins after we arrived and was friendly, knowledgable and gave tips on where to eat out.
The lodge is beautiful inside, very spacious, very clean and very luxurious. The kids loved having a bunk bed each! The bathroom has a good size bath with lovely complimentary toiletries. The kitchen was lovely and I liked the fact it had everything you need, washer and drier was a big thing to me with 3 young children so this was an added bonus! The pint of milk and tea bags and coffee is a nice touch. No wi-Fi or signal makes it even more of a retreat!
But the best thing is the hot tub, it is amazing! Perfectly private and secluded you can dip in and out all night knowing no one can see you. The kids loved it, especially at night with all the lights in hottub lit up and the steam coming up from it being a cold night. Perfect is how I would describe.

Nice children's park on site, a little dated but kids really enjoyed it.

We ate out several times, first at Raddlers which was nice but my only bugbear is the road getting to it from the lodge is very very narrow, only one car through at all times! If your a nervous driver don't drive here. However the other place we ate was The Queens and it was beautiful, highly highly recommend this food it was lovely. You will find all these details in the guide in the lodge. On the 3rd night we got a take away but as there is no signal or wi Fi my husband had to drive to top of hill ( where reception is ) and order, my tip is to have postcode to hand as its not on reception door and my husband had to drive back to lodge to get it lol.
Would I come back here? yes yes yes
Would I recommend? Yes yes yes
Do not delay book this place now it's lovely x

First off this is a bit of a late review since we stayed there in April and hadn't got round to leaving a review! Since then we have stayed at a different lodge park and we have something to compare quarry walk to! The drive to quarry walk wasn't a big trek we expected coming from North Wales, only an hour and a bit, driving through some nice little villages on the way and past stoke city fc ground. Once we arrived at quarry walk the reception staff were really friendly and helpful, we stayed at the Fox lodge and we absolutely loved it!!! There was 6 of us going, me my wife and 2 boys (7yrs & 2yr old) my sister and her husband, the lodge was more then big enough for us all to relax in. It was clean and well presented, with all the necessaries and comfy beds we just had to drag ourselves out of! There was a park for the kids right opposite our lodge, it's showing some age in places but still excellent and situated in to great place to play. The chap that came to show us how to use the hot tub was friendly and made us feel really welcome not like the other park! The staff were always on hand and happy to help with any enquiries from laundry room to take aways that deliver! A good Indian take away is in the local village and delivers to the park no problem! Also a Morrisions for anything we needed. We went to Alton towers on a day out, only 10mins max from the park and easy enough to find, a good base for that day out, as well as going to stoke city or just chilling out taking in some scenic walks around the park. One of the big plus points of our lodge was the hot tub being under cover. We were in it at every available opportunity and it was brilliant! On a couple of occasions in the mornings we were visited by some friendly squirrels coming to the patio door much to the boys delight! Really lovely place to stay and cannot praise the staff enough, after staying at another park that was marketed 'high-end' the lodge, hospitality and facilities at quarry walk are 5 star!! Some reviews have mentioned the lack of mobile signal - we didn't find that a problem, it turned out to be a positive as neither of our phones were out and we really had a great time for it! A signal can be got by popping up to reception which we did to order a take away 1 evening! Overall really pleased and such good value for money, we all decided on the day we left that we will be returning and absolutely cannot wait!!! Big thanks to the staff at quarry walk we really enjoyed it!!

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to Quarry walk,Stopping at Badger 32 cabin. The check in is a doddle and the reception staff so friendly and helpful. The cabin was spotless on arrival and a member of staff came down after 10 minutes to show us how to operate the hot tub and answer any queries we had which was nice. The cabin is well equipped with everything you would need,So just bring yourselfs no need to empty half of your kitchen. My wife,Myself and our black lab had a brilliant week here using it as a base,Then finding some nice walks to try and wear the dog out so we could chill out on an evening in the impressive hot tub.Someone calls each morning to check the hot tub which doesn`t always happen at other lodges. No phone signal but if you go to the entrance or just walk up the lane from the entrance you will get your connection and can make a call or have your Facebook fix.The single track roads take a little getting used to,You are always dreading another vehicle coming the other way.But it is so peaceful and quiet don`t worry about it.Alton towers is only 3 miles away,Cheadle about the same where you can pick up anything you have forgotten at Morrisons.Anyone who likes walking or is taking a Dog the Ramblers Retreat is only a couple of miles away,Lovely scenic walks,Free parking and the pub does some nice food too which is a bonus.Thouroughly enjoyed our stay again,We had a great week weather wise but even if it rains the hot tubs have a roof over them so a bit of rain will not stop you having a great evening outside.Hopefully we will return next year and upgrade this time to the owl garden lodge which looks stunning.Just 1 niggle the bed wasn`t very comfy probably the mattress which was a bit too soft for our liking.

Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay here, the cabin is designed for a romantic couple getaway but we took our 3 month old with us. The cabin was lovely, had pretty much everything we needed and had a lovely feel to it, within minutes of us arriving someone came round to explain how the oven and hot tub, all the staff for our visit were always polite and helpful.
Good points.
Very spacious and cosy cabin
Well equipped kitchen
Hot tub was amazing, they check it everyday and new water is put when you leave for the next guests.
Fenced private garden with BBQ
Bad points.
Unfortunately our view wasn't amazing, I had expected a nice forest view but we were overlooking to big metal storage containers.
TV and phone signal bad
I wouldn't personally bother with paying for the WiFi, it didn't work

Overall I would definitely recommend staying here but just bare in mind the above points.

Room Tip: If there is more than 1 Woodpecker style cabin request another that isn't looking over the metal...
