“A truly 5* hotel with great service!”
Reviewed August 9, 2010

My husband and I just returned from our stay at The Royal Myconian just a few days ago. Initially, we had our second thoughts about the hotel because we made the booking by phone and there was a delay in emailing us the booking confirmation even though we requested it several times. However, when we arrived at the hotel a great surprise was awaiting...The hotel is ideally situated over Elia beach -one of the best beaches in Myconos. As soon as we arrived the staff was extremely helpful and polite and when the room had been cleaned we were escorted to our room. The room was spacious, perfectly clean and the view from our big balcony was more than amazing! Our room number was #117, a great room if you want to have more privacy and wonderful sea view. What surprised us a great deal was the stardards of the hotel sevice. There even was a housekeeping supervisor, making sure that the room was cleaned properly and that the mini bar was always full!! The breakfast was absolutely amazing -one of the best we've had so far! If you want to have a swim at Elia beach you can go to the private section of the beach reserved only for hotel guests where the hotel staff makes sure that the sand is absolutely clean and also provides you with tanning lotion as well as a variety of snacks and beverages! Last but not least, the concept "value for money" really stands for the Royal Myconian. You get to be treated wonderfully in great surroundings, without having to pay the other overpriced hotels in Myconos, which I doubt if they can provide better service. When in Myconos, this is really the place to be!!

I have stayed at the Royal Myconian with my wife and young daughter for 7 nights between 14/7 and 21/7. The hotel is very good (the breakfast is excellent, the restaurants are exceptional, the rooms are big, clean and nicely decorated) but the best impression is from the staff. They are all very helpfull, friendly and kind.

The hotel is next to 'Elia' beach which is fantastic but windy. it is a bit high on the hill next to the beach but the hotel has a bus taking you down to the beach and back up to the hotel. The views from the hotel are amazing.

The only disadvantage is that it is a bit away from the tonm (Chora). You need about 15-20 minutes to get to the town centre.

Stayed there for 8 days, The staff provided excellent service and went out of the way to accommodate our requests.
We ordered room service a couple of times and have to say the food was excellent.
I highly recommend this Hotel. The only negative is the slope up to the hotel is very steep. But the Hotel has transport facility to and from the beach; this is service (considering the distance is only 100 mts. or so.)

We had a fantastic time at the Royal Myconian. The customer service exceeded my expectations. Michel, the concierge, provided excellent dinner recommendations (see my Gola review). Each staff member tries their hardest to make your stay memorable. The rooms had beautiful views of the beaches. Beds were not super comfortable-- but that's a given in Europe. The location, although great for us, might not be great for everyone. It's about a 20-30 min bus ride into the main town. The hotel has private shuttles that run every couple of hours and were very convenient. If you are looking for clubs, bars in walking distance of the hotel, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to enjoy Myconos but avoid the party atmosphere, this is perfect! The pool area and private beach are beautiful -- although women were topless at both. The breakfast spread was the best of all the hotels on our trip. There was a huge variety of everything and the breakfast area has a fantastic view. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

I have travelled in more than 20 countries and I was greatly impressed by Mykonos. It is a beautiful island with sandy beaches, excellent food, and a extraordinary nighlife. It’s a very good place to have both a relaxing experience and to do some sightseeing to neighbouring island as Tinos.

Wow wow wow we recommend this hotel to all who visit Myconos. We had only wonderful things to say and no complaints. The staff was great and they help us with converters, directions, restaurant reservations, boat tickets and luggage. The room was spacious and very clean, the breakfast was great, the pool is gorgeous and the hotel is in a great location.
Thank you all at the Royal hotel for making this trip a most enjoyable one and we hope to see you in the near future.

My wife and I are ardent fans of Trip Advisor and we researched many options in Mykonos before selecting this hotel. We did not want to stay very close to the town and were also recommended this hotel by a friend.

We reached the hotel and were greeted by Parros, the front desk manager who promptly offered to carry my wife's handbag as it looked heavy!! He walked us to our room, explaining everything about the hotel, services offered, and about Mykonos. We booked the standard room and were pleased with what we saw. The room was 'standard' with a nice bathroom and small balcony overlooking the sea with fantastic views.
Since it was the first time in 3 years that my wife and i were traveling alone, we decided to upgrade ourselves to a Superior Room with Outdoor Spa Jacuzzi at a cost of 100 euros per night. Parros showed us various room options before we finally selected this one. The room is well appointed, not lavish but everything you would expect for the price you pay.

Our room was very large with a living area a private sun deck and a jacuzzi obviously! The views were simply breathtaking. A few steps away was the pool area with two pools, the smaller one is a heated pool. Both are salt water pools so you have the option of sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi at the poolside if you prefer. They have a bar and cafe at the poolside with a decent and delicious selection of food.

Many steps down below the hill is the beach. The hotel has a private area on the beach only for hotel guests which was nice. They had a selection of cold and hot drinks served to you by they staff at the beach and towels as well. The beach has course sand and exceptionally clean (but cold) sea.

The hotel as a selection of spa treatments on offer although we didnt try any but heard it was good from some other guests. A shuttle service took you to Mykonos town every two hours approximately. Same shuttle service also brought you back from town, last shuttle leaving town at around 1am.

The hotel is fantastic, especially Parros who took exceptional care of us, also carried by wife's hand bag every option he had!!! All the staff is courteous and helpful. Food is very good. Although all the rooms have the same great view, I would recommend you upgrade if you plan on staying in the hotel for most of your time. Its a 20 minute ride to Mykonos town which is quite convenient but a 20-25 euro taxi ride if you plan on coming late in the night. Great hotel for couples.

Breakfast was good with a very large spread and fresh juice on offer. Overall the hotel is great with fantastic views and courteous staff.
