You know you have a wonderful hotel when your guest don't ever want to leave it to explore the rest of the island. lol. We arrived at the Royal Myconian Monday 9/23 and from the moment we stepped inside it was love at first sight. We were greeted by Panos who promptly showed us around. Now this may be the only issue, this is a big resort so not sure how they handle someone with mobility issues. Our rooms were gorgeous, we booked a superior room and surprise a jacuzzi off of a private deck looking out to the sea. Lord, if there is a heaven this is what it looks like. After the tour we went back downstairs to the dining/pool area for an early lunch. again, the views were spectacular and the food delicious. Ladies, if you want to get your "shop" on without going into town, not to worry there are 3 boutiques on the hotel in a variety of price ranges. lol we could not resist the sparkly slides. The hotel is situated at the top of a very high hill so we made use of the resort shuttle. Now for the beach, again the resort has thought of every thing. big, big lounge chairs and umbrellas plus the ability to order lunch and drinks. There were local "vendors" that walked up and down the beach at various times but they were not intrusive at all. not like some of the Caribbean Islands where they almost harass you. We ordered a really tasty lunch and just spent hours relaxing. One note: the beach bottom is very rocky, pool shoes are a must.
The hotel provides shuttle service to Mykonos town through the day. Can't wait to go back.
They also have a full spa and gym. I wish we had time to take advantage of them, the spa services especially looked nice.
Oh one really nice touch, most of the rooms are totally different. lol not the standard, cookie cutter hotel room.
